UPS Boeing 747 crashed down in Dubai
Yesterday evening a Boeing 747 operated by UPS – United Parcel Service has crashed down shortly after the Start. It hit a military area close to the Emirates Road and Global Village. On the picture the most things are already removed from the site.. And its of course not accessible. Now there are speculations going on what was the reason. UPS is not giving any Informations until now. So we gotta wait if it is human failing or a technical problem.

Day Out 03.09.10
Today i was out a bit mainly in Ras Al Khaimah , i was in the Mountains there a bit and than back on the Road close to the Seaside. It was about 390km but seen lots of nice things and also i have taken a few pictures which are in the gallery already.

I found it: SNAPPLE
I had already checked the big supermarkets but did not find it here. SNAPPLE.
Since i have been in the US i love SNAPPLE. Sadly they did not have the Peach Ice Tea but they had the Kiwi Strawberry drink. I really missed it. I bought 6 Bottles to have a little stock of it today.
If somebody knows where i can buy it here in Dubai please tell me. This bottle i got in RAK far away from Dubai close to Oman…

Review: gourmet burger kitchen
Today i passed by for dinner to the gourmet burger kitchen in the Dubai Marina Mall.
The people were very friendly and took my order fast. I ordered the Ice Tea, the Cajun Chicken Salad and the Classic American Burger. The Salad was very good even though i didn’t expect eggs in it. But it was very tasty. The classic American Burger was well done as ordered, and very good, a must visit if you love Burger.I will visit again for sure

Seen that yesterday on the Shaikh Zayed Road. I have known that you should have 2 to 3 Outboard motors to be taken seriously in Middle East. But i have never seen 4 on one. I guess 1400Hp should be enough to cruise a bit…

Update: My new Hotel / Ramada Chelsea Hotel Barsha
So finally today i checked in the Ramada Chelsea Hotel in Barsha. Compared to the Royal Falcon its a difference like day and night. When i arrived they directly took my luggage and carried it in. They parked my car for me as well. On the Reception friendly people, that was completely new to me. The check in was very fast because i already arranged everything in advance. I got my room card the internet access code and went up to the 10th floor. The Room is very clean, modern styled and really enough. 10 minutes later they also dropped the luggage off. The picture above is taken with my new cameras Panorama Function. I am also happy to have back German television after nearly 3 weeks without. I think i will enjoy my stay here.

Review: Royal Falcon Hotel, Deira
Tja, now after around 3 weeks in this Hotel its time for a small review. The room is not large and not very modern, but clean. The Service is slow and partially unfriendly. The first and second floor got renovated during my stay and caused a lot of noise into the late evening hours. The mini Bar was full of useful things and okay so far until i found out its not cooling. The Laundry takes generally 2 days if they do not forget to take the things. The worst thing for me was that the free internet which is included in the price is also often not working. That is what pissed me off the most during my stay. Nearly as much as the AC which has a fake Control in the room which is useless, if you want to turn it on or off you have to call the reception…. The best thing on it was definitely the price. I paid for 3 weeks around 2400AED which is very cheap. From that point of view its good. But if a friend would ask me if i can recommend it it would be a definitive NO.

Update again: easyHotel Dubai
Today i got the news from a friend that easyHotel published to open in September now. No final Date anymore. Just September.Probably they did not mention the Year because they dont know it themselves… Its really getting funny watching that story of their opening.
